@themainideais yeah and this video was 2 years ago what gives. I’m not as keen on seeing Titanic again I seen at for 6-track Dolby Stereo SR-D at least 12 times and projected it once at Warner village in the late 98 so I prefer 2D and I wish 3D just dies and goes like a bad cinema dream because its kept me away from going to the cinema for 3 years now and its pissing me off enough of the 3D junk!

@jarred160788 Maybe the retrofitting technology is getting better as well?
By jarred160788 on feb 19, 2012 | Reply
@themainideais Yes, but he’s saying that 3D conversion is usually very rushed, whereas he’s really taking his time with Titanic’s conversion.
By flemishguy on feb 19, 2012 | Reply
@markusass Yeah. Terminator 2 was nothing like Terminator 1.
By themainideais on feb 19, 2012 | Reply
Brilliant man, but Titanic is being retrofitted to 3D so Cameron, tsk tsk.

@Sumoto999 fk off?? avatar was one of the best movie ever
By MrSkinnynerd03 on feb 19, 2012 | Reply
@Dzubur93 looking back in retrospect..i wish Cameron, really did clean up the story and script a bit. I mean, it had Fantastic VFX, and possibly the best 3D (That being said, i still hate it as a format)…but such a lackluster, cut n’ paste story.
By Sumoto999 on feb 19, 2012 | Reply
Titanic and Terminator 2 were Camerons greats. Avatar…. not so much.

I didn;t see dances with wolves, so the similarities didnt catch me off guard. I didnt like avatar for three other reasons. One is because the villans have no character development, their just there to die and be a-holes. Two, it stole the name of the greatest cartoon in history. And third and most importantly, the entire film struck me more as political propaganda.

@KadrickNinness god, my thoughts exactly.

@yeadude657
It clearly didn’t.
It’s archetypal source is barely veiled beneath it’s futuristic setting.
It’s not even a restructured archetype. Worst of all, it’s yet ANOTHER hackneyed “battle climax” film, that gets even worse when it’s peak moment is a deus ex machina. Seriously, how in the fuck can you spend that much money on a cliche`? Shockingly overrated film.
By yeadude657 on feb 19, 2012 | Reply
@lenrat117 No because that movie sucked. Jk it was a pretty good movie but just because it has similar plot elements don’t mean shit. People borrow shit all the time. It only matters if they make it original enough in other areas for people to watch and enjoy which avatar clearly did.
By lenrat117 on feb 19, 2012 | Reply
has anyone seen dances with wolves? it’s the film avatar ripped off
By qu7aker on feb 19, 2012 | Reply
@MrSatanochio titanic got boring real fast. the dialogue i mean. to the point where i just fast forward till the end and see all the people die lol. terminator i love to death.

James Cameron biggest hypocrite ever. Why don’t you care about canadians natives? Why dont you protest against canadian’s polution? Why do you have to interfere in brazilian’s matters? Go take care of canadian’s florests and stop to say bullshit about brazilian’s ones.

I couldn’t help noticing the room he’s in — I believe that’s his office and I can see the steering wheel from Titanic and the hand from the Terminator. Super cool.
By markusass on feb 19, 2012 | Reply
Cameron’s contribution to mainstream cinema is fairly substantial, but surely people watching this interview smile when he says that he doesn’t want to “make the same thing twice.”
By blasabb on feb 19, 2012 | Reply
Such a good director. It really comes out in this interview how smart this man is.
He has only made classics all around

I friggin’ loved Avatar.I don’t care about what all of these haters have to say, it blew me away when I saw it in theaters for the first time. Hell, since then I’ve seen it at least 7 times.

@lfaldrummer12 Agreed. I still liked Avatar, tho.
